James Browne - to Jamaica

James Browne born 1757 Shrewsbury UK, married Mary Dalton19 December 1778 at St Peter's, Cornhill, London.
It has been written that James went to Jamaica and died 1791 onboard 'Hero' ( of, out of , from ) Liverpool.
His wife Mary and two other children went to Jamaica and never returned to England. They just seemed to disappear.
Another son, Thomas Browne remained in England with his aunt Sarah Dalton who married ( second) Rev Dr James Lindsay, Grovehall, Stratford-le-Bow.
Searching for any information regarding the death of James and the fate of his Jamaican bound family.
