I have a copy of a 3-page letter from an "Oswell" to Geneva in Haddenfield, NJ, dated 10/1/1968. In that letter it mentions Oswald Hardy Dyke being killed during the Civil War and his widow later marries "Dinks" Phillips. It also mentioned that Mrs. Phillips did not have any children (not clear if that means children by Oswald, or with "Dinks" also).
The writer of this letter, Oswell, was named after after Oswald Hardy Dyke. But for some reason, he states in the letter, that his named turned out as Oswell. I do not know who this Oswell is, how he is related to the Dyke line, and I have lost the info on who sent me the letter.
