I have a James Brownell (b.15 Nov 1824 Fulton Cnty, NY; d. 17 Oct. 1898, Gloversville, NY: buried in Schenectady, NY) who married a Margaret Tinning. He was the son of John Brownell and Millicent Gilbert and the brother of Ira Brownell.
I also have James Edgar Brownell (b. 26 Apr 1845, Schenectady, NY; d. 7 Aug 1915) who was the son of the above mentioned Ira Brownell and who married Martha R. Osborn.
The above mentioned Ira Brownell(b.7 Oct 1811 Northampton, NY; d. 10 Mar 1888, Schenectady, NY; buried Vale Cemetery, Schenectady, NY) was Schenectady County Treasurer 1882-1888, Superintendent of the Schenectady and Saratoga Division of the Rensselaer and Saratoga Railroad, School Commissioner from the Third Ward of Schenectady, NY and a member of the State Stree Methodist Church, Schenectady, NY.
Do you have information on Ira's ancestors?
