CLEM BRUNING, 68, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2001. He was born in West Point, Nebraska on November 29, 1932 to Henry and Ilda Bruning. He married Patricia Leibel on September 28, 1957 in Omaha. Clem graduated from the University of Nebraska/Omaha in 1960 with a BA in Industrial Engineering. Clem was an avid sports fan, playing baseball at the University of Omaha and professionally in Texas. He held a variety of engineering positions in Minnesota and Texas, most recently as Plant Manager with Daniel Measurement and Control, Inc. in Houston. Clem is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Bruning of Katy; his daughter, Darbie Bruning of Houston; sons, Bob Bruning of Katy and Ed Bruning and his wife Jackie of Richmond; his granddaughters, Tanya, Jacqueline and Samantha; and his brothers, Gerald Bruning and his wife Marilyn of Colorado Springs, Harold Bruning and his wife Helen of Bancroft; and sister, Judy Schenkelberg and her husband Richard of Omaha. Clem's family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the Doctors and Nurses at St. Catherine's Hospital for their concern and loving care. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Vigil service to be held at 7:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, August 22, 2001 at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, 1530 Norwalk Drive, Katy, Texas. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
