Re: Marie Buescher Hartman
Do you think you have any connection to the Buescher family of the eastern part of Madison County? They later changed the name to Busker. My GGrandmother was Maria Fredericke Buescher, she married John A. Braundmeier. Her sister, Sophie, married John's brother, Henry Braundmeier. The parents were, Ernst Buescher, b. 1832 Germany, d. 1885 and his wife, Elizabeth Hilgedieck, b. 1830 Germany, d. 1868.
They are buried in the Salem Cemetery near Alhambra, IL. Their children were, Ernst Jr., (no dates) thought to have lived Ohlman, IL.Henry, b. 1863, d.? Indianapolis, IN, Maria F. b. 1864, d. 1928, Sophie, b. 1858, d. 1906, Caroline, b. 1861, Wilhelm b. 1865, d. 1882, Wilhelmina b. 1867, d. 1882.Ernst married a second time, 1868 to Lisette Sander, b. 1838 Germany, d. 1885 Madison Co. IL.
Children of the second marriage, Elise (Lizzie) b. 1870, d. 1882, Fred b. 1872, d. 1962, August b. 1874, d. 1964, Louis b. 1877, d. 1890, John b. 1880, d. 1963.I just visited Salem Cemetery Memorial Day.Several of the children died in 1882 of typoid fever.I think John was the one that had a hardware store in Edwardsville for many years.
Thought maybe some of the above might jog something in your memory as to the possibility they connect to your Buescher family.
