A firsttime respondent to this website, I was fascinated to receive a printout from a friend of a posting by Turtle Bunbury re the McClintock Bunburys of Lisvanagh. My interest is that my mother's maiden was Elizabeth Bunbury, one of eight children of William Bunbury who came to NZ in 1862 with his parents. His father was Cornelius Bunbury, born about 1816 in Ballylongford, Co, Kerry, a son of John, a farmer. I have obtained over recent years, several Bunbury family charts dating fron Norman times in Cheshire showing the Irish Branch from the mid 17th century. The detail of the above posting wonderfully fleshes out the bare bones of the charts. Howevr, try as I might, I haven't been able to bridge the gap from about 1700 in Ireland to my gggrandfather, John. One Chart names the five places of Bunbury settlement( as substantiated by Turtle ) but which one "our" branch comes fro
(if indeed, any !) eludes me. Is it too much to hope that, at last,I am nearerthe answer ? Any suggestions or information would be gratefully received. Best Wishes, Fred Ellis
