BURCH/BIRCH---IRELAND TO OHIO:In 1849 and 1850 the following family arrived in New Orleans:George, wife Johannah, and children George, John, Catharine, Patrick and Catharine.At that time their last name was spelled Birch. In the 1850s they were in Xenia, Ohio where daughter Catharine married Patrick DEVINE, and son John married Johanna SCOTT. George Sr. (born abt. 1790 IRE) died before 1870.His wife and daughter (both Johannahs) died in Xenia in 1879 and 1880 respectively.Son John and his family moved to Springfield, Ohio.Their sons George A. BURCH and John Burch married Rose MUCH and Bertha BLUEMIE respectively.
