SYLVESTER BERDICK DIED AT ANDERSONVILLE
Does anyone have info on Sylvester Berdick who died at Andersonville Aug. 21, 1864 roll 6339 at the Anderonville National Cem.He is in the book I have, but no other info except his wife Aimee/Amy (Howe) Berdick Joesph.I am trying to find her correct parents also.I really would like to find out about Sylvester.There is written he was an Penn. Indain who fought for the Union.He was in the 148 CO. D Penns or 85th N.Y. He was DRAFTED Montrose, Susquehanna Co. Penn. He was CAPTURED AT SPOTSYLVANIA VA. May 12, 1864. Died at Andersonville on Aug. 21, 1864, and is buried at the Cem.Now, he had to have married Amy abt. 1852, because Anna Cordella their oldest b. April 14, 1853 in (I believe Springfield Penn.) She married Albert Woodville Joesph--her step-brother. As her two younger sisters Alice(who died on the wagontrain)then Stella, who married Albert's younger brother Oscar Joesph.
