In our family Bible, in the list of Burmood children, a Frederic Joseph Burmood, born February 7, 1875 is listed. The story we have heard is that he was working (haying) on my Grandfather's farm near Wood River.A rain storm came up and all the men started for the house. When Fred did not show up - they went back to look at him and found that he had been electrocuted as he was climbing through a barbed wire fence. This would lead me to believe he was a young man.I had not hear that he was married, nor is there any record of his wife in these papers.I believe Mitchel and Catherine Burmood had 15 children (at least I have names and birthdates for that many.He is the Frederic buried in the Wood River cemetery. In researching Mitchel Burmood's family I have found many George Burmoods.I know my grandfather (George Walter Burmood) had a cousin known as "Little George" in WR - my grandad was "Big George".Mitchel came to Huntsville, Ill. to join his brothers who had immigrated earlier.Actually, I have other information but don't know what you want.
