1831: Obit-Mrs. Tilothy (Burney) Walton, 1st sp/o Peter Wyche Walton
DIED on Sunday the 27th of February, in Morgan county, MRS. TILOTHY WALTON, wife of Peter W. Walton, aged 24 years. In the decease of this amiable and virtuous lady, the society in which she moved has sustained a loss which can not easily be supplied. She discharged all the duties belonging to the various relations of wife, mother, sister, and friend, with a virtue and fidelity never surpassed. For several years previous to her death, she had been a member of the Baptist Church, and it would not be paying her memory an unmerited tribute to say that she lived strictly up to the profession which she made - this was manifested in every action of her life, and exhibited itself in the article of death; for she left the world perfectly resigned to her fate, and with a strong assurance of a happy immortality. She has left a husband and a numerous connexion to mourn her loss.
