Hi Ronald,
Just ran across your post, and thought I would tell you what I know on this side of my family.
Ulrich Burri (1831-08-10 to 1888-05) and son of Christian Burri & Barbara Zwahlen, was married to my 2nd Great Grandmother, Ernestine (1840-04-18 to 1916-04-20).They were married on 1882-09-02 in Douglas Township, Montgomery County, Iowa and had one child, Elisabeth Burri (1883-09-26 to 1970-11-23).
The names of Christian and Barbara's children that I have are (I also have birth and death locations if you are interested in them):
Anna (1815-11-22 to 1861-08-18)
Christian (1816-12-09 to 1825-12-27)
Barbara (1819-08-09 to 1832-03-14)
Elsbeth (1822-02-07 to unknown)
Johannes (1822-11-18 to 1886-11-06)
Joseph (1824-01-28 to 1824-05-13)
Christina (1825-03-07 to 1833-08-02)
Christian (1826-11-11 to 1908-04-02)
Ulrich (1828-09-05 to 1831-07-27)
Joseph (1830-03-30 to unknown)
Ulrich (1831-08-10 to 1888-05)
Peter (1833-01-09 to 1889-06-18)
Rudolph (1834-11-14 to 1835-06-10)
Barbara (1835-11-20 to unknown)
Rudolph (1837-03-21 to 1892-01-24)
Gottlieb (1841-02-13 to 1919-10-07)
Gottlieb (1841-02-13 to 1919-10-07), Ulrich's youngest brother, is my 2nd Great Grandfather and I am a Burri decendent through his daughter, Louisa (1873-01-22 to 1925-07-23), who married my married my Great Grandfather, William Kluge-Clugy (1861-02-02 to 1927-11-11).So Ulrich is my 2nd Great Uncle and also my 2nd Great Step-Grandfather.
I also have some information on Ulrich's ancestors back to a Ulrich Burri (abt. 1558 to unknown).
Our oral history indicates that Ulrich, Peter, Rudolph, and Gottlieb immigrated to the United States and settled near or around Villesca, Montgomery County, Iowa.
If you would like any more information about the Burri side of our families, just let me know.
Have A Great Day,
Glen Clugy
