Hi Jackie, I'm sorry to read your post, but I hope you are doing well in spite of this. Have you found any more information about the Buzbee side of the family and this disease? What about in your mother's family? When I read your description of Viking Disease to my mother, she immediately mentioned that her Aunt Ethel (Ethel Buzbee Wells) had this, or at least it resembled Viking's Disease. Mother said Ethel had something wrong with her hand which made it very difficult for her to write toward the end of her life. Don't forget, though, that Ethel lived to be in her nineties! Mother thinks Ethel's children live near Atlanta, but she wasn't sure. (Mother is 84 now, and sometimes her memory isn't what it used to be.) Still, she wanted to try to reach them to ask them about Viking's Disease. Please keep me updated.
Btw, I've tried to email you, but my emails bounced back. I hope to have some new genealogy information to share with you soon. Let me have your email address so we can keep in touch.
