Re: Joseph Henry Caillouet/Muriette Henry
I have a LOT of information, since I have "The Book of Caillouet." published by one of our family historians. I'm descended from the Caillouets, my grandmother was Dorothy Rita Clare Caillouet. My line & your wife's separate at the VERY beginning of the Book of Caillouet. I'm descended from Joseph Gille Caillouet, son of Joseph who married Isabel LeBlanc & you say your wife is descended from his brother, Jean Baptiste. I'll give you what I have on what you asked for, and definitely let me know if you need more.
Joseph Caillouet (a carpenter by trade) was born Aug 7, 1752 in Quebec, Canada. Was baptized the SAME DAY at the Chateau Mission Church in Quebec. His parents were Joseph Gille Caillouet & Marie Mehot. He emigrated BACK to France to marry Isabel LeBlanc on Nov 9, 1784 in Nantes, France. Isabel was the daughter of Pierre & Marguerite LeBlanc (Marguerite nee Gautreau). Isabel was born about 1754 in Acadia. Joseph died Oct 14, 1815 & is buried in St. Michael Cemetary, Convent, LA. Isabel died in Mar 1816 & is buried in the same cemetary.
Joseph & Isabel had 4 children:
Jacque, born 1785 in Nantes, France, married Feb 11, 1806 to Scolastique Theriot, married 2nd time Feb 11, 1823 to Marie Claire Michel, died 1860.
Joseph Gille, born Feb 25, 1788 in St. James, LA. Married Nov 14, 1808 to Celeste Thibodeaux, died Oct 26, 1835.
Jean Baptiste, born Sept 8, 1789 in St. James, LA. Married May 4, 1821 to Josephine Herbert, died July 30, 1864
Marie Seraphine, born Apr 8, 1792 in St. James, LA. Married Jan 7, 1812 to Pierre Theriot (brother of Jacque's first wife)
