Re: Caldwell's of KY
I do not have these CALDWELLS but have others
in KY.Do you know if any of these go to the
CUB CREEK CALDWELL PRESBYTERIAN SETTLEMENT
in Charlotte Co., VA (then Lunenberg Co.) formed about 1738 50 1742?
I have a WILLIAM CALDWELL who went to Adair
Co., Columbia, KY.He went there about 1809
his Uncle, He married REBECCA EDMONDS in Adair Co., KY Columbia about 1816, WILLIAM
died there in 1825.I believe WILLIAM is the
son of the REV. JAMES CALDWELL who was born in 1734 at Cub Creek, later went to York Co., PA, where he lst married an ANN ? and
where WILLIAM was born there in 1759.The
parents of REV> JAMES are the founders of the Cub Creek CALDWELL Settlement are JOHN &
MARGARET PHILLIPS CALDWELL.
Would appreciate any information about any
kind of connection.I believe there are 2
other SETTLEMENTS - one in Augusta Co. and
the other in Giles-Craig County at Sinking
Creek, VA.Am looking to link any of the
Cub Creek line and their group with Cub Creek
CALDWELL line of them.
