Re: Callison- Bonnett Connection
I'm looking for information on Matilda CALLISON,
md. 1) William M. AMOS, Sept. 7, 1845, Greene Co., MO;
md. 2) Dr. James A. CALDWELL, July 3, 1856, Webster Co., MO;
md.? 3) to unknown; whereabouts unknown after March 1860 (Dr. James d. March 15, 1860).
I understand that Matilda was a dau. of Moses CALLISON and Catherine BONNETT.
Matilda apparently had 4 children:
1. James AMOS b. ca. 1847 (living with his CALLISON grandparents in 1860)
2. Absalom AMOS b. ca. 1852 (living with his CALLISON grandparents in 1860)
3. James Andrew CALDWELL b. May 7, 1857, d. Jan. 29, 1948, Christian Co., MO, buried Danforth Cemetery, Taylor Twp., Greene Co., MO (living with his CALDWELL grandparents in 1860)
4. unknown twin to James Andrew
I have much information on the CALDWELL connection, but very little on the AMOS / CALLISON connection.
More details are in the CALDWELL / CHILDRESS Family File linked from my home page at
