Re: Mary CALLOW m 1842 Oxfordshire, ENG
The only info I have was gotten from parish records by a researcher in Oxfordshire and forwarded by a cousin:
14 Aug 1842:
Samuel PAYNE, full age, bach, otp; s.Samuel, lab.
Mary CALLOW, minor, sp, otp; d.William, weaver.
Witnesses: Joseph CALLOW, Elizabeth GILKS.
Family lore has it that she was a niece of a bell molder who received honorable mention from Queen Victoria.
There is info from a CD that may or may not be Mary's father:
Christening Date: 29 Mar 1793Recorded in: Sutton In Ashfield, Notts, Eng.
Father: John CALOW
I have nothing else re England but lots since their arrival on this side. They had 13 children. Looking forward to hearing from you!
