There are three initials on the outside of the cup:They look like JAH in a script engraving...inside is a hand written note which
says:"Callaway Family Trophy for winning Kentucky Derby...there were 12 cups and a pitcher originally"I don't recognize
the handwriting

In the same bag as the silver cup is a marriage certificate:

On the outside of the marriage certificate in handwriting is:
"The Callaway Family is the one---who won this Silver cup--at Louisville Horse race track--was a set of silver cups--they
were divided amonst the children

29th May 1916...Thomas A. Callaway and Rena M. Davis...married at Westminster Church, Buffalo, New York..(can't read)
then V.V. Holmes
Witnesses were:Lena M. Harry and Edwin M. Babcock

The bride is a charming and accomplished young lady, a graduate of the Nurses' Training Class of Binghamton City Hospital. A

Funeral of Mr. Callaway...
Sauquoit--The body of Thomas A. Callaway, who died in Buffalo during the "past" week, was brought here in charge of
undertaker C. D. Budlong Monday afternoon and committal services were held in Sauquoit Valley Cemetery, where burial
took place in the Davis Family Plot.
The Rev, Charles Dodge of Utica conducted the service and relatives acted as bearers.

My ggg- grandmother was Magdelena Wiesman/Weisman.She married John (Johan) OTT while still in Germany.One of
their sons (George Ott b.June 16, 1838 ) was born in Neuenkirchen, Bavaria)...one of their children Anna Ott (b. 1845);
Margaret Ott was born in Wisconsin in 1849.

I believe that Magdelena Wiesman/Weisman-OTT died in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, as did her husband John (Johan) OTT..but
have not yet proven this...My grandmother said that the family lived in Buffalo, New York for a while, before coming to
Wisconsin...interesting fragments???
