Calthorpe and Kirkland marriage in Georgia

I have a James W Kirkland born 1845 in Alabama listing both parents born in Georgia. I have found a hand written note in a family book noting his mother's maiden name was Calthrap possibly a transcription error in whatever source this data came from. I have no name for a father or given name for his mother. He is not found in the 1870 Henderson County Census but is there by 1880 and in 1900. This is all of the information that I have to go on.

If anyone knows anything on this family please contact me. I have had this email since 1994 and it is paid for until 2016 and I plan on renewing it.
