Can anybody help me?? I am trying to find details of my great great grandad John Calvert. His birth is registered
John Calvert,reg Hunslet,Mar Qtr,1849,XX111,343.
I am pretty certain this is mine,( his children are later registered in Holbeck, which isnt far from Hunslet?) after having loads of difficulties trying to find the right John Calvert.. Is it possible, anybody could find me this John Calvert's parents etc, maybe on the 1851 census, or does anybody have access to info that would verify this? Is Woodhouse in the same area as Hunslet?, as in the 1881 census he says he was born in Woodhouse, however he is registered in Hunslet. In the 1851 census Index, there are NO john Calvert's aged 2,, only 2, ages 5 and 2months so where is mine,????
I cant afford to buy the certificate, as much as i would like it, as funds are tight as a single parent.
Some additional info that might help you, from an earlier posting are:
Copy of 1881 Census

His son Benjamin Calvert was actually registered as

Benjamins parents were married in Dewsbury too, a year after his birth: Marriages Jun 1876,

CALVERT John Dewsbury 9b 931
Then again in the 1891 Census, John Calvert's birthplace seems to change again, but the family stay the same...
