Calvert, Everett/b.c1876 WI/d.1898 MN

I don't know if anyone has a
black-hole in their family tree
when it comes to EVERETT
CALVERT.

We recently acquired a pamphlet
on the Spanish-American soldiers
from Nobles County, MN.In it
is a section on EVERETT
CALVERT:

Page 42:this is a summary
of what is included:

Everett Calvert was a member
of Company H, Nobles County,
MN.He was most likely born
c1876 in Plattsville (?), WI.

He moved to the Worthington,
MN, area (SW MN) c1898, and
worked on a farm.He enlisted
in the Spanish-American war
cJuly 1898.He contacted
typhoid fever and died in
August 1898.He was 22 years
old at that time.

In the newspaper article
announcing his death, it is
mentioned that attempts to
locate next-of-kin failed and
the plan was to bury him
at Fort Snelling (MN).[There
is no follow-up article to indicate
if relatives were found/and if
he was buried elsewhere.]

Listed as his next of kin were his
sister in Pattsville, WI;and a
brother in Horgren's Corner, WI.

I do a lot of genealogy searches
for this area of MN.It occurred to
me that IF Everett's family never
received word as to his fate, he
might be a big BLANK on
