Calvert family bible records VERSUS Other documentation

By Jamie Oswald February 04, 2011 at 05:42:43

I am, apparently, related to the Calvert family by way of:
Eliza Jane Broyles (b 1837 in Cooper, Missouri) daughter of Lewis Broyles and Elizabeth Calvert.Elizabeth Calvert is apparently the daughter of William Calvert and Elizabeth Nodding.

My "problem" with this assumption is that it is based on Bible Records of the Calvert family. The origin of the document is unknown but transcription of the document can be found here: http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/CALVERT/1999-03/0922227620http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/CALVERT/1999-03/0922227620

You would think that there are other documents out there to support this family line but I am unable to uncover them (unless you depend on IGI entries in familysearch.org).

There is a tombstone which shows that Lewis H Broyles (with the birth date that is the same as Eliza Jane's father) was married, and buried with, an Elizabeth Mariah Sevier NOT a Calvert.

Has anyone done some deeper digging on the Ader, Broyles, Calvert relationship to confirm this tie?

ANY response or insight is much appreciated. Thanks so much!
