Re: Calvits in Mississippi possible connection to my Calvitts

I am very interested in your Calvits, especially Littleton Calvitt - child of William Calvit Jr. and Minerva. Do you know of any of his children. I have hit the "brick Wall" with my Calvitts. However my last known ancestor of the Calvitt Line was Charles Brantly Calvitt (or Calvit as it is sometimes found) born about 1878 in Franklin Parish, LA. I have yet to find any record of his death date or place of rest. But in Census records I find the last name spelled in one t and two t's. Also I have some indication that a Littleton Calvit may have been his father. Charles Brantley Calvitt married Zoe Edith Lewis in 1901 and had six children, including my grandfather, Archie Clyde Calvitt b 1901 Franklin Parish, LA.
