Camlin River in Co. Longford
We corresponded last year about Camlins in Drumballyroney, Co. Down.
Just a note on the Camlin River.Actually, I believe it is a river in Co. Longford, in the north central part of the Republic.It runs west past the town of Longford and is part of the upper watershed of the Shannon River.It is reputed to have decent fishing (see the following link for an angler's page on the fishing).
I am not aware of a stream or river with the name Camlin in Co. Down.
Another geographical item: There is a Camlin Parish in Co. Antrim in Northern Ireland.It lies northeast of Lurgin on the shore of Loch Neagh, the large lake in the center of NI.See the PRONI link:
