Re: Camlins of Scottdale, PA, mid-late 1800s
Sorry for the delay. I've updated my PC and have a new e-mail address. Here is what I have on 'my' Camlins. It is possible that both John Camlin and his wife Margaret Dalz(s?)ell came from Ireland. The family lore is that the Camlins came from a place in Ireland is near the Ballyroonie Meetinghouse near the Mountain of Mourne in County Down.
John and Margaret lived their married life in Scottdale, PA and had five sons (Alexander Dalzell, William James, James H., Walter B., Robert H.) and my grandmother Margaret Jane.
My grandmother was born 12/12/1877 and died in 1956.She married my grandfather, Edgar Lee Ralston, in 1905.As you can tell, I have no dates for the family and would love to have some.Any info you can provide would be wonderful.
