Dear Bonnie,

The Information was From "Scottish Prisoners Transported to America in The Aftermath of Culloden-1746" Taken from the National Society Quarterly,Vol.64 (176) for non Profit,Non Commercial and Private Geneological Research Only, and it was Transcribed by Diana Hanson,Professional Geneologist.
Evidently Alexander,Douglass ,Duncan,John, and William were on the Ship "Veteran"when it was attacked by the Diamond a french Privateer,on Jun 28,1746.The Rest of them were either Transported to The Barbadoes as Prisoners or released in to Tilbury Fort around The 31 of March 1746 as was This Gilbert. The Others such as Saunders Campbell was Released landed at Port Oxford Maryland.
There listed TWO Duncans with one being taken to Martinique and Set Free and The Other Sent to the Barbadoes.Whether this was the Same one of the Two DUNCANS,one arrived at Tilbury Port about 31 March 1746/7 along with Gilbert.
Hope this Has Helped you in your research. There is a LONG list of Differant Prisoners here.

Respectfully,Richard
