Re: CAPELESS, CAPOLIS, CAPLIS, CAPLOIS, CAPLICE, Rutland VT
I have complete access to most Federal Censuses online from 1790 to 1920.
I found a John L. Capeless, born 1914 in Mass., living in Boston with his parents, John L. and Delia E. in 1920. his father is listed as a roofer, being born about 1891 in Mass of Ireland native parents.there is also listed two other children, Paul (born abt 1918) and Dorothy (born abt 1919).In the same household, there is also a Bridget Capeless, widowed, born about 1866 in Ireland, and i believe it says she was working as a "fruit worker", she has two daughters also living with her, Ruth L. age 21, and Elizabeth E., age 18., both working in a department store.
I'll search further back inthe next few days and get back to you with what i find ... but i figure it may be a good start.
I'm not sure where you said you were located, but if you are at any time able to access death records in Mass, I am very interested in trying to get the death date/place and burial places of the Capeless lines from Vermont.I have researched the Capeless line that settled in Wallingford, VT for many years before moving to Mass, and have found most birth records.I live about 15 minutes from Wallingford and have very easy access also to Rutland records.
I am namely looking for the Patrick Capeless that was born Ireland, moved to VT, then settled and probably died in Mass.He was born about 1833 and died sometime between 1913 and 1920.his wife, Mary (possibly maiden name Carroll) was born about 1834, in Ireland.
let me know if i can help
