Re: William Capper from Greensburg, Indiana

Kevin. I have Amanda Moffitt marrying Martin Capper on 30 May 1862 in Decatur, Indiana. The other wife I have as Mary and may simply be a spelling corruption of Mandy. We certainly have some similarities with names. My Samuel Capper, who I currently believe to be Martin's brother, was b. abt 1801 and married a Susannah who eventually ends up in Kansas with her daughter Margaret Ann (Capper) Hawkins. Her husband was Henry, my gggrandfather from Wayne, Indiana. Susanna's parents apparently came from Ireland which would rule out a certain Susanna(h) Teagarden I have seen as marrying a Samuel Capper. I shall have to pool what I have re: the Capper surname. It has been a tough one and I hope I haen't botched things. Sam'l is a "Copper" in 1850 Peoria, Ill with Susannah and kids.
