Hello again John,

I have more information about my ancestor, James Adam CAPPER(generously provided by one of his other descendants).

JAC served in the first Waikato Militia Regiment in 1863.He was involved in the battle at Ti Ti that year.

James was born in Scotland, had no brothers, and came to New Zealand alone.He married Mary Ann GREEN.Neither of their sons faught in the wars in the 1860s.
