Re: NEED TO TALK TO GAREY CEARLOCK
Garey CEARLOCK is my first cousin once removed.I will notify him of your posting. For further information on the CEARLOCK family please consider joining the free Rootsweb CEARLOCK genealogical mailing list by sending an e-mail with only the word "subscribe" in the subject line (without the quotation marks) to the following address:CEARLOCK-Lemail@example.com

There are two lines of CEARLOCKs.The first line can trace their ancestry back to David GERLACH/CARLOCK who is listed on page 436 of the book "History of the Carlock Family", by Marion Pomeroy CARLOCK, 1929.The second line, the one to which Garey and I belong, can trace their ancestry back to George W. CARLOCK/CEARLOCK, b. ca. 1779, NC, who m. Rachel LANDERS.George and Rachel were married in Warren Co., KY, but later migrated to Fayette Co., IL.I strongly believe that this second line is also connected to David's family, but I have not yet found the exact connection. For further discussion on this subject, please consult the CEARLOCK Rootsweb mailing list archives through the following URL:http://lists.rootsweb.com/http://lists.rootsweb.com/
There is also a relatively new CEARLOCK GenForum list, as well as CEARLOCK GenConnect boards.I have hyperlinks to all known CEARLOCK resources listed on my home page.
