I would like any info about Fredric Carney line, originally from New Brunswick Canada who possibly came to the US at the age of 14 (1849). he was born abt 1835 and died 1889 in Menominee Wisconsin. He was a well known lumberman who's name was often associated with Isaac Stephenson of the same area. He had a town in Michigan named after him He was married to Elizabeth Correy and they had 7 kids; Mary, Jennie, Lizzie, Fred, Frank, Alexander (My g-grandfather)and Kittie who may have died as an infant. The Carney family was well known in the WI/MI area for logging. The boys Fred and Frank carried on the business up to abt 1903 at which time they may have returned to Canada. I have been unable to find any more information and they seemed to "disappear".
