Aaron F. Carpenter == Aaron Firman Carpenter?

I'm related to a Jotham Carpenter who fought in the civil war.His father was Firman Carpenter of North Castle.The only connection I can find is Aaron F. Carpenter had a son Jotham Carpenter who was 19 in 1960, perfect age to fight.Please contact me if you have any information on Jotham or Firman carpenter of North Castle.
