Hi Maggie

I am working on the Ohio family slowly, And yes members my own lines are in Ohio , I'm a double Carruthers, one half of me (my Surname) is from Scotland, weare know as the Holmain Carruthers, the other half is from Scotland, to Ireland to America, known as the Dalton line, never the less both halfs are the Mouswald line, as you put it Carruthers Castle. The family has been coming here sence 1604, our English family uses the family Crowders, this is our Thomas Carruthers line, Tom didn't side with family and excaped into England as our history goes. The Surname Carruthers sole family No matter how you se spelled , we all decend from Sir Wm De-Carrutherys 1066 , and there are no records of him having siblings ect.
I will hunt down records here in the house this weekend for Robert 1818, good possiblity, he belongs to one of my lines, as we entered Ohio in 1797 .
I've been saving Ohio research for my last state before I move to TN, I live in Michigan . The reason Ohio is last is due that it is invaded by us by all surrounding states, during all periods.
I will get back to you.
Tommy
