Forgot to address our mutual Fiveash connection.
From Peter FIVEASH and Catherine Margaret DAME's many children I come through James W. FIVEASH b. April 1856 who married Rebecca COUEY about 1871.I found them during the Reconstruction Period living in Rebecca's father's (LeRoy H. Couey, mother's name Mary) household on the census. They were living in Pinetucky, Laurens county, Georgia in 1880.James said he was 24 y.o. They are on the 1900 census in Tattnall county, 1521 District and states they are married 19 years and is a farmer.1920 census they are in Forrest county, Mississippi and he states he is a carpenter. My father said they are both buried in McLaurin Cemetery in Forrest county.
From James and Rebecca it goes to their son Peter Lee FIVEASH b. 2 Aug. 1883 in GA.He married Lillie Abigail HEADLEY about 1909.Peter died in Prattville, Autauga county, Alabama. My grandmother was/is Rebecca Lee FIVEASH b. 13 april 1911 d. 7 Feb 1979.
Would love to know your Fiveash line.
