Of Indianapolis ,IN
Formerly a Resident Of Terre Haute, IN
Terre Haute,(pronounced /?t?r? ?ho?t/) is a city in Vigo County, Indiana
He died Jan. 15 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
He was born Oct. 14, 1935 in Cookeville, TN to Jack J. and Emma Ruth Carver.
He was preceded in death by his parents
Mr.Jack J. and Mrs. Emma Ruth Carver
And brother-in-law; Mr. Joe Conry.
Survivors include
One Daughter:
Caroline Carver Carpenter (Fred) of Conyers, GA
And One Son:
John M. Carver (Kim Senkel) of Scottsdale, AZ;
Six Grandchildren:
Thaddeus, Brian and Seth Carpenter, Jessica Alligood (Makever) &
Kristen Hack (John) and Joanna Carver;
Two Great Grandsons:
Aiden Alligood and Conner Hack
And One Sister:
Martha Ruth Conry of Nashville, TN.
Also Surviving:
A Niece; Shirley Conry
And A Nephew; Allen Conry
Special Friends:
Sandra Galinger -And- Al Lankenau -And- Danny Feng all of Indianapolis and his former wife, Diane Carver Brentlinger of Terre Haute.
Bob retired in 1993 after 28 years as a highly regarded professor of history at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Terre Haute and held degrees from Tennessee Tech Univ. and Creighton Univ.
At his request, a Celebration of Life will be held in Indianapolis at a date to be announced. Interment will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashville, TN.
For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Mary-of–the-Woods College, Saint Mary-of–the-Woods, IN 47876.
Care and arrangements were entrusted to the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel 740 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis.
