here are the newest bits of information that I have gathered:

(Generation 1)
Stephanos Casanova (birthplace ?, birthyear approx. 1820) m. Theodora UNKNOWN
at some point moved to Chios where he eventually died

(Generation 2)
had the following children (born approx. 1840's Chios)
Demosthene Casanova
Ioanni Casanova m. Katina UNKNOWN
Stamatios Casanova m. Marouka UNKOWN

(Generation 3)
don't know anything further about Demosthenes

Ioannis had a son
Stephanos Casanova (b. 1914 Chios) m. Maria Figos

Stamatios had 3 girls
Amalia Casanova(1869ish), Marouka Casanova (1880's), Sophia Casanova (1880's)

(Generation 4)

Stephanos Casanova had a son Emmanuel Casanova (b. 1946 Chios)
Stamatis daughters married, the surname ends
