families in Normandy
I see nobody has posted anything here in awhile, so I hope that you read this message.
My family is also from Normandy, and there were many Jean - Bapstistes in my family. However, they went by a different last name. Cesault is a name that I have connected to the Ouellettes. Cesault married my gggrandfather Napoleon Ouellette, and that is how I am related to this family, as well as to the Carons.
My family settled in Rivier - Ouelle, Kamarouska, Quebec, Canada in the the nineteenth century. Originally, they were from Dieppe, Rouen, Orne, and Perche, (all places in Normandy) among and other regions of France such as Aunis, Anjou, Champagne, and Paris. Paris is where my family originated.
I have a Denis Cloutier born in 1565 in Perche, Normandy. I also have a Michelle Moreau, also from Perche, Normandy, born in 1480 in Perche, Normandy. Cloutier is also a name that appears many times in my family tree.
I hope that some of this is familiar! Let me know, if possible.
