Elise and Brian, my family tree lists 3 brothers who left River Suir (near Waterford) in County Tipperay and settled in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in 1826.One family, descendants of JOHN CASH, settled at Big Pond and later at Irish Cove in Richmond County, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. This family still resides in the Irish Cove area with many descendants also settling near Boston. The second son, EDWARD CASH, settled on the McLeod farm, but I have no information on his descendants. There was an Edward CASH that later settled in Halifax, who may be related to this EDWARD. My descendant is PATRiCK CASS, who settle at Cowbay Road in Sydney, Cape Breton County, Nova Scotia. His Death Registry in Massachusetts on May 3, 1862 lists him as 69 years old, widowed, with parents THOMAS and ELLEN, both born in Ireland. I have never been able to identify ELLEN's last name, so cannot confirm if they are related. Also the ages may be slightly off. Keep me informed if you see any connection.
