I believe I may have recently found in my files the following relevant information regarding the family of the Calvin Cassady, (believed to be the son of Charles Cassady grandson of John Cassady and Elisabeth Wilkerson) listed in your 2006 post.

From 'The John Cassady Family', an unpublished manuscript dated April, 1946 written by Annie Cassady Garner, and is listed as being in the possession of Ms. Helen Davis, Rt. 1, Seagrove, North Carolina, copied and provided to my Great Aunt Mary J. Anderson West by Mary Gibbons, Rt. 2 Box 301, Center Point, IN dated Dec. 15, 1989.
The John Cassady Family
The Generation of Cassady's that came to U.S. from Ireland.
First. John Cassady came to America in 1793. Died before 1848. Buried at Old Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
In about 3 or 4 years (from 1793) Elisabeth Wilk[er]son and her 3 brothers, Charles, William, and Robert Wilk[er]son all came over from Ireland.
John Cassady and Elisabeth Wilk[er]son met in America and were married in about 1798, both were natives of Ireland.
So they bought a farm on Fork Creek 5 miles east of Seagrove in Richland Town Ship Randolph Co. North Carolina and made their home there the rest of their lives. A.C. Lowdermilk owns the land now. Their children names:
First Caty born 1799
second Margaret born 1800
third Charles born 1801
fourth John born 1803
fifth Elisabeth born 1805
sixth James born 1808
seventh William born 1810
eight Calvin born 1819
These are the children of John and Elisabeth Cassady that came over from Ireland. Part of them went out west some of the boys and girls. Three remained in North Carolina 2 boys and one girl. I think the girl married a (Believed to be Raleigh Spinks) Spinks near Ramseur. Calvin died age about 27 years of age. He was engaged to marry Fannie Moffitt (but died) This is the Calvin that planned to plant a grove for the girl he loved, his intended wife.
Seventh child William Cassady married Rebecca Needham March 12, 1836. Most of rest of manuscript lists their 10 children, only four made it to adulthood, and descendants of their branch. Also included was the following:
In the Randolph County North Carolina Court of Equity, September Term 1848, in the case "William Cassady & others ex Parte", the following heirs of John Cassady ("That came to America from Ireland") are named. (A) Petition for settlement.

It is ordered by the Court that the Clerk and Master pay to William Cassady one sixth part of the net surplus.

To the children of Cathearine Larrance deceased, to wit: Enoch Larrance, Cynthia, Polly and Margaret(Believed to be second wife of Raleigh Spinks Sr. married by 1850) - one sixth to be divided between them in equal proportions.

To the children of Margaret Gardner deceased, to wit: Cynthia, Zimri Gardner, Molsey, Elisabeth and James - one sixth in equal proportions.

To the children of Elizabeth Spinks deceased, to wit: Nancy, John, W[E]lizabeth, Molsey, Ann, William, Wesley, Jasper and Newton - one sixth in equal proportions.

To the children of Charles Cassady deceased, to wit: Sally, Nancy (who married a Mr. Bybee after going to Kansas to live with sister Elizabeth and family), Elizabeth (born Jan 8, 1825 married Robert Anderson in Owen Co. Indiana on Oct 15, 1843 migrated to homestead several miles north of Uniontown, Bourbon Co., Kansas in 1866 and died May 10, 1901. She is buried in Uniontown cemetery in Uniontown, Bourbon Co., Kansas, Elizabeth and Robert Anderson had 11 children of whom my Great Grandfather was their 4th child Thomas Johnson Anderson)...continuing with children of Charles Cassady...James, Calvin, Martha - (being six in number)-one sixth in equal proportions.

To the children of James Cassady deceased, to wit: John, Benjamin, Calvin Jackson, Martha Jane, Lord Alexander (being five in number) - one sixth in equal proportions.

(There was no mention of the 4th child John Cassady born 1803)

Also included is an article from December 15, 1892 issue of the Clay County Enterprise newspaper published in Brazil, Clay Co., Indiana. It tells of an account of [Charles Cassady's son] Calvin Cassady murdered some two miles east of Poland,IN. He was stabbed at a country dance in Owen County Indiana in 1865 and liquor is thought to have been the prime cause of the killing. Killer escaped and was not captured until about seven years later. The killer, a Wm. Christenberry, was sentenced to prison for life. After serving some twenty-seven years in prison and being aged and in broken down health, the Indiana Governor Chase issued a pardon to 67 yr old Wm Christenberry on the 6th day of Dec. 1892. Who went on to live with his daughter in Manchester, Ohio.
