I've been fascinated with the family connections in Bertie Co, NC between the Castelows (various spellings), Phelps, Cobb, etc.And the frequent given name in each family of Starkey.Does anyone know where the Starkey name came from?

Also Reddin's dtr Frances m. Charles Starkey Cobb, and had a son named Roy Starkey Cobb.

Is anyone doing any research on the Castelow and Cobb connections in Bertie Co, NC?
