Have you found any public record of John Henry Cato in Tennessee. I have searched far and wide for Cato records on this family and this is all I have found.
"Sumner County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions: 2nd Monday, Sept. 1809. App't Edwin Perry guardian of the minor orphans George E. Cater, Britian Cater and John Wesley Cater, bond of $160 given by Henry and Jeremiah Belote. Other records on Edwin Perry in the County are: Perry was involved in a law suit in 1798, bought 160 acres of land from James Winchester in 1804 that had been granted to Isaac Bledsoe, land was on the north side of the Cumberland River (near what is now Castalian Springs)Henry Bracxkin Jr.
