Hi Bob,
Yes, I connect to John Cato, with wife Jane Cook Cato(dau of Henry Cook of Brunswick Co VA), who was the brother of Daniel Cato who married Patience Harris.John's son Henry Cato married Tabitha ___ , probably in Brunswick County around 1760.Henry and Tabitha Cato moved to South Carolina, and probably on from SC to Christian County Kentucky. We believe that Henry and Tabitha had a son Vincent/Vinson Cato, who remained in SC and is my 4xgreat grandfather.
We have been searching for many years for the maiden name of Tabitha the wife of Henry Cato. But the records of Virginia have not been kind to us.Some say she is a Massey, Brewer, Johnson, etc but so far no proof of any of these.Very frustrating.
Cynthia
