This is great info!Definitely my great-grandfather, and P.F. Gorman is also my GGGF as his daughter, Cathryn, was married to J. Reece Sr.
What is the likelihood of finding out who the parents of William Henry Caton were?He is the one you found for me in the 1880 census.I think his birth year was 1839.How would I go about learning whether he served in the Civil War, since he would have been 22 at the war's outbreak?
I'd love to start collecting all of this information into a thorough family tree, but I don't really know where to start or what I should be looking for.
