After posting my last message, I stayed up until 2am looking at the census' from 1820-1870. Hit the jackpot!I did find Thomas Catt m. Elizabeth on the 1870 census.Elizabeth is Elizabeth Fowler, sister to the Alvina that I was looking for.Apparently, my gggrandfather was over 5 years old when taken in by the Catt's.He was still with his parents on the 1870 census. Now, if I could just figure out why he was adopted by relatives..there could have been so many reasons.
