Re: Catterton descendants in England
This is what I have on the Cattertons.
Michael Catterton I arrived in Calvert County Maryland in 1659. Records showed that he brought land in 1652. Believed John Bigger, friend of Michael Catterton, brought the land for Michael when he arrived in Maryland in 1652. Michael's brother James also came to Calvert County. A Thomas Catterton came in 1679. He may have been related to Michael. There is no evidence that he stayed in Maryland.
Michael Catterton I's father may have been a Thomas Catterton. This we did not know for sure.

In 1785, three years after Michael III's death Michael IVhis brother William, and sister Cattwood moved to Albemarle County, Virginia. Edward and Sarah moved to Virginia in 1779, buying 200 acres of land on Taylor's Run in Orange County, Virginia. Edward died in 1832.
