How would one trace melungeon characteristics to Stephen Caudill/Caudle? Bearing in mind that he is one's fifth or sixth great-grandfather, then one recieved only 1/32 or 1/64 of one's genetic make up from Stephen, ( 2 to the 5th power and 2 to the 6th power) See how much dilution takes place down through the generations?
