John Causley/Mary Welcome

I am looking for information on a John Causley born about 1825, there is debate on whether he was born in Michigan (if so most likely Port Huron area) or in Canada. He married Mary Ann Welcome who was born about 1828 in Canada. They had 6 children: Mary Ann born 1848(spouse Frank LaPlante), Angeline born abt 1851, Eliza born about 1856, Lucy born 1859 (spouse Joseph Lapointe), George born about 1862, and Stella born about 1867.
