I found Alfred Caywood in the 1870 census in Jackson Township, Nodaway
County, Missouri. The census was taken on 23 June 1870. Household 43/43:
Kaywood, A.H., 37, m, w, Farmer, 1200, 700, Tennessee
Mary C.. 29, f, w, KeepingHouse, Indiana
Electa M., 13, f, w, nooccupation, Iowa
John W., 4, m, w,Iowa
George W., 11/12, m, w,Missouri, Aug.
The 1880 census that you already have lists:
Caywood, A.H., w, m, 49, married, Stone Mason, Tenn, Tenn,Tenn
Mary C. w, f, 40, wife, married, Keeping House, Ind,Ky, Tenn
Geo. W., w, m, 11, son, single, At School, Mo.,Tenn, Ind
Wallace, w, m, 7, son, single, At School, Mo.,Tenn, Ind
Lucerne, w, m, 3, son, single, Kansas, Tenn.,Ind.
Norvil, w, m, 3/12, son, single, Kansas, Tenn.,Ind.
This would indicate that he had atleast one child Electa M. was by hisfirst
wife, Eunice Bunson (married Aug 24, 1856 Wepello county,Ia). Electa did not appear in the 1880 census, so she musthave
died sometime between 1870 and 1880, along with John W., her stepbrother.
Still haven't been able to find them in the 1860 census anywhere. I found
that they did not have some of the counties in Iowa indexed on Ancestry.com, so
I'll have to do some page by page checking. I did check Douglas Township,
Montgomery Co., and Edna Twp., Cass Co., and did not find Alfred, but I'll keep
