Ginny, I am Nate's brother. I was searching for family history when I came accross your site. I just have to tell you that Luigi Natale Cerasani was from Pescina/San Benedetto dei Marsi, L'Aquila, Abruzzo. He was born on December 25th (that's why he's was "Natale" or Christmas) 1876. His wife, Carolina Bruno, was from Altavilla Irpina, Avellino, Campania. This is nowhere near Messina, Sicily. There was however an earthquake in the Pescina area in 1915. That is probably where you got the earthquake idea from. Cerasani means one of two things. From the dialect word "cerasa" you would get cherries. Or from "cera" and "sani" you would get good or pure wax. I hope this helps.
