Re: NEW DATA: WM.(the Emigrant) I and Wm.II
There are a LOT of discrepancies in the body of work posted online at the revolutionary players website you provided with the data given in J. F. Chance's book, as well as a newer Family Chart provided several years ago by Sir Jeremy Chance of England, of this line (Sir James Timmins Chance). If I'm reading the website work correctly, there are even some discrepancies between it and the identities you gave me for John, b. 1611 and his 3 sons.
Could you kindly provide me with the line of William Chance's, as you have determined it, from William I and II thru Sir James Timmins Chance?I think this will encompass all of the various Johns and Williams that need a closer look.I believe I have them all, but they don't appear to align properly by dates in the two bodies of work.
I have long wondered if the work given in J. F. Chance's book was accurate because there seemed to be several mis-alignments in dates between the generations, as he gave them... then there were some places where he changes his data from one page to another.I will be grateful for your help before I go in and start making wholesale changes without making closer comparisons first for accuracy.
Regards and Thanks,
