I would say you are correct in your assumption that Thomas Beasley must be the father of Paulina Jane Chandler. But I couldn't say for certain. It's obvious that Thomas Beasley is making sure that Mary Chandler is taken care of and especially her 4 "youngest" daughters, which assumes that Mary Chandler had other children.
I can't say anything about Clanton Chandler, as I have not done much other research on the Chandler family, but I do agree that there is a lot of WRONG information out there.
Some have the parents of "Henry Durham" as William Durham who married Susanna "Susan" Hatcher.I recently found a court case from the Chancery Index at the Library of Virginia that mentions the children of William Durham and Susan Hatcher. There is NO Henry Durham listed, and Henry is not living that far from William and Susan Durham. The children listed are "Armistead, Robert, Austin, Nancy Burge, Elizabeth Vernon, Polly Campbell, and also Patty Yates. (Although Patty Yates, I believe to be a sister to William Durham - not a daughter. This is from a deed found in 1816 Stokes County, NC).I think people put Henry Durham as a son, because Henry Durham and Paulina Chandler name their oldest son "Armstead J. Durham".I believe Henry Durham is a son of the "Sally Durham" who is listed in Mt. Airy in 1850 (Surry County, NC) living with Nancy Durham.Later in 1870, there is a Sarah Durham, 85, listed in the household of "Paulina Jane Durham" (widow) in Surry County, NC.This Sarah Durham is also listed in 1840 Patrick County, VA listed on the same page as Henry Durham.
